Request for Quotations: Supply of Motorcycles (Lot 2)

Chithumba Limited invites eligible and qualified suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of brand-new motorcycles, delivered to our offices in Kanengo, Lilongwe.

Petrol-powered motorcycles

• 150–250 cc 4-stroke petrol engine, air-cooled
• Manual gearbox (5-speed preferred), electric start
• Front disc brake, heavy-duty tyres for paved and rough rural roads
• Seating for rider and passenger, full lighting, speedometer and mirrors

Electric motorcycle

• Range of at least 120 km per charge, top speed of at least 60 km/h
• Motor of at least 2.5 kW; 72 V lithium-ion battery of at least 2.8 kWh rated for 1,000+ cycles
• 230 V charger with a full charge in 8 hours or less
• Disc brakes front and rear, payload of at least 150 kg with rear carrier
• 24-month warranty on battery, motor and controller; first two services free in Malawi
• Rider and battery-care training for at least two riders

All motorcycles must be cleared through customs and registered with DRTSS in Chithumba Limited’s name, and delivered within 7 days of order. Quantities and the full specification are in the bidding document.

How to submit

Complete and sign Sections B and C of the bidding document and attach your trading licence, current tax clearance certificate, PPDA registration certificate and a list of recent contracts. Mark the sealed envelope with CHL/G/NCB/2026/002.
